4.0         Activities and community projects for November

-       Ronald McDonald House Fleece Blankets- After the general meeting was adjourned we stayed after to work on the Fleece Blankets. We had 4 in total. This was a fun way for us to get to know everyone and we had fun doing it. Afterwards, Joy and Kay’s mom, Miss. Dawn Fuqua took the blankets and donated hats and gloves to drive them down to the Ronald McDonald House downtown.

-       November 20th, 2011 Adopt A Highway Clean up from 1-3pm-

-       November 26th, 2011 caroling in horse carriage Coats for kids Project. It would be easier if we met downtown and we maybe could do it after Brown Santa Project in December – Vote – it was voted down because of the timing. We will be doing the Caroling in horse carriage after the Brown Santa Project.

 

5.0         Brown Santa Project 

-       Scheduled for Sunday, December 4th, 2011 at 1-4 pm-Lilliana Lutz gave us an idea on what to expect and where to meet

6.0         Play Day 

-       Scheduled for Sunday, January 8th, 2011 at 9:00 (8:30 registration opens)

-       ****need adult volunteers**** (entry fee may be waived for adult volunteers)- Didn’t really get to talk much about this other than we pushed it to this date because of it  conflicts with the Brown Santa Project

7.0         Holiday Party Ornament Exchange: Who would like to bring refreshments? Lauren Rives and Daniel Rives (but since this is our Holiday party, Patti Martinez suggested we may have ‘Pot Luck’)

8.0         A few other things we talked about that were not on the agenda was Lauren Rives, Emma Doyle and Cami McVaney did a demonstration on the Clover Leaf pattern for barrel racing, pole bending and Key Hole events in the western horse shows. My mom, Dena McVaney and I, Abi McVaney did research and created a sheet of all three events, the measurements and rules to expect in these events.

9.0         Ashley Perkins talked about her experience of going to the ‘Interview’ where she talked about the types of questions that she was asked, how long it lasted and what to expect next time.

10.0      Closing Meeting

-       Stand and Recite the 4-H Motto and 4-H Slogan- Lilliana Lutz led us and we all stood up to recite the 4-H motto and 4-H slogan

-       Meeting adjourned (tap gavel on table once)- Lilliana Lutz closed the meeting
